The Westland Way

We pride ourselves in providing the attention to detail, pricing, and customer service of a small business, while delivering large company capabilities and results. Our preconstruction methods are designed to anticipate potential issues and areas of improvement, resolving problems before they arise and minimizing the impact to the final project cost. Our construction methods are based in sound safety practices, transparent communication, and hands-on team-based management techniques. Together these strategies have brought us one successful project, and one satisfied client, after another. Our goal at the end of each job is for our title to change from “Construction Manager” to “Trusted Partner”.
GROWTH & EXPANSION
In 2005, Westland was presented the opportunity to complete a few large projects in the Southern Utah area. Since then a local and thriving operation has been established in the heart of St. George, Utah – built to specifically manage our Southwest Division (Nevada, Southern Utah, Arizona, and California) construction industries. Though today Westland employs hundreds of people in multiple locations, each project, no matter the type of building, proximity, or value, receives the same professional attention.

Beginning work in the industry at a young age with his family’s businesses, Houghton Plaster and Westland Construction, Kyle has adapted a rooted yet visionary approach to his leadership. Over the 25 years he has been with Westland, Kyle has helped expand its presence, opening offices on four continents and working on projects in over 15 countries.

As a senior financial executive with over 20 years of global leadership experience, Shayne brings a dynamic, self-driven style to Westland. Experienced in driving growth, increasing profitability, acquiring and merging businesses, along with optimizing and standardizing processes, Shayne has mastered managing the financial health of business operations. He regularly demonstrates the ability to develop, mentor and build high-performing teams across all levels of an organization and diverse cultures.
