Project Description
This project consists of a 52,000 square foot, new student housing building with reinforced concrete footings, foundation walls, concrete floor slab, CMU and steel framed walls with brick veneer, steel joist with steel deck, roof insulation and single ply roofing, full mechanical and electrical systems, hydraulic elevator, interior and exterior window and door systems, interior gypsum board on steel stud walls, suspended acoustical and gypsum board ceilings, wall coverings, millwork, paint, resilient flooring, and ceramic tile.
Working on student campus requires a continued adjustable outlook of student life and the constant changing needs associated with working on campus. This project has required numerous milestones be met to comply with parking, landscaping, athletic events, youth groups, camps and other campus activities that affect the daily work schedules of contractors and construction schedules. Each milestone being completed on or before scheduled completion thus allowing the owners long range goals to be met with ease and without interruption to student life on campus. This project is a complex re-circulating hot water heating system which requires close coordination with engineers, subcontractors, owner and architect.
